Spare tire no more - The Flat Belly Diet

"Spare tire! -squish squish-" While my boyfriend maintains that my tummy is cute in its slightly-rounded form, there are times when I wish I had a smaller, trimmer tummy. Honestly, which woman doesn't? Slim and healthy is all the rage nowadays -- and well that it should be, too, since it's been shown that central fat (around the tummy) may well cause a higher incidence of coronary heart disease or stroke. (Thanks for this nugget of info, Physiology lectures. XD)

FbdTherefore, I was pleasantly surprised to find a diet cheerfully known as the Flat Belly Diet -- it revolves around monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) like those in avocado, almonds, olive oil, and even dark chocolate, and targets belly fat in particular. Novel, to be certain! I was worried it would be dodgy like Atkins, but after having looked at the site, it seems like a pretty solid concept.

And look at the picture of some of the things you can eat! Mmm, yum. Check out the site for the Flat Belly Diet for more information and some success stories, and join up there because Prevention mag is looking for people to try the FBD for free and get a copy of the Flat Belly Diet book. Offer also comes with one-year membership to their site and access to tons of exclusive FBD videos, as well as a a blog for you to post your diet goals and woes. Sounds like a great community already~
