Like the Cold Summer Afternoon...

YLSNE: Sheep have horns. Small, small ones near their ears..

dongni: Awww! -blushes- Hehe thanks...I'm so narcissistic. XD To put myself on my blog, that is..
jill: Haha, I remember that part too! Was a bit awkward watching that with my parents, but I realised that quite a few of them looked like they were in pain instead of pleasure...hurhur. Amelie is great. So many interesting scenes. And great music too!
maria: awww you can huggle me here too, though it wouldn't have as purty colours. :D Huggles are always good.

I wrote the below bit at midnight on the 18th (April). Then I realised it doesn't really say anything about any event, and I can't put any photos in it...so I'll write a few paragraphs shall describe the Royal Easter Show we went to a few months ago.

This is pretty much a large fair-like thing celebrating Easter, involving quite a few exhibition halls (we went to the home, flower, and food ones) at the Olympic Park, and surprisingly sturdy temporary rides. There were also a variety of "showbags" with which to rip people's money off...pretty much, packages of stuff in a nice colourful plastic bag with different themes. We got a Wiggles one for my bro, it wasn't very cheap. (About 20 bucks) We saw the Bananas in Pyjamas. Twas amusing.

For me, the highlight must have been the farm animals. There was a huge part of the place dedicated to animals. I actually saw cows up front, and got to pat a llama (so soft!). There was also an eyeopening show involving sheepdogs -- skinny, sturdy dogs who actually climbed over the sheep to herd them. And who got into formations to intimidate the sheep. (picture - dog on top of sheep.)

Cows are so cute.
Omg, is that Hatsuharu?! Haha! XD Okay, right. So that's it...we didn't buy much (Everything was too expensive) but it was interesting. Oh, and we also saw a log-chopping competition. I never knew that people hacked a circle-shaped piece of wood out, then hacked from the other side, to chop trees down. Rather naively, I thought they just hacked away from one direction, hehe...the guy from Victoria was fantastic. He had the biggest handicap (I was wondering why he was stoning while the others were all chopping away already) but still managed to finish first! Sugoi desu. Alrighto, next follows my a-tad-morose entry...These few days I've been thinking.

I've been wanting to write something leading on to one of my daisy chains - that one featuring the forceful guy who had "things done to him". In my imagination, he gets depressed, and goes to the bar to drown his sorrows, but ends up being an alert kind of drunk. And the poor girl meets him again.

But somehow...I just couldn't get down to writing it. Somehow, it also morphed to make it an FF8 fic. The guy, Seifer (of course, I'm sure Eden did lots of stuff to him while he was under her.."service") - the girl, Quistis (kind of OoC for her) - and an amusing picture of a Squall who spouted poetry when drunk, and whom initially attracts Quistis to step into the bar. (Something she probably wouldn't usually do.)

I might write it some time later, but not now.

These few days, I have been reading Fruits Basket. For English's sake, I'll call it Furuba. (Sounds less wrong. XD) It is very good, but it is getting disturbing. Some characters remind me of Gakuen Alice (TohruVSMikan, NatsumeVSHiiro, AyameVSNarumi..) -- but it is certainly much "older". Especially volume 17 -- I never thought I'd say this of a manga, but there's too much sex in it. Then again, I could be reading too much into things. I thought earlier that Rin and Shigure were getting it on too, but I was so very mistaken.

Hatsuharu is very intense.

The characters all seem to grow up. Unlike the static image that stories can give us, this adds quite a bit of depth to the story -- but also a sense of melancholy that I can't quite shake.

Of course, this could be due to my staying up 'til the wee hours of the morning "to read one more volume". -wry-

These few days, I've been hugging my bro 'til he sleeps, then waking up again to read Furuba. I've realised I like hugs. You need to move a bit to get a comfy position, but the comfort it offers, knowing that you're not sleeping alone, is like lavender and hops for me. (Pleasant - sleeping aid) I even said hong was like a soporific for me in the past -- but that's a bit too knocking-out-like, haha.

These few days, I miss Nehtor, but I hope he's having tons of fun in Lawndawn. I miss neesan too, and I wish her all the best in her studying.

These few days, I've been wondering whether I'm desperate.

If I am, what am I desperate for?
